He was predeceased by: his parent Maggie Johnson; his children, Kenneth Rages Jr. and Elizabeth Rages; and his former wives, Gertrude Rages and Clarene Watts.

He is survived by: his wife Opal Rages; his children, Ronald Rages, Cheryl Houston, David Rages (Joyce) and Rita Clark (Robert); and his grandchildren, James Marshall, Mary Johnson, Jamilla Rages, Ndeya Rages, David Rages Jr., Orisella Rages, Tamara Childress, Christina Edwards, Nicole Rages, Michael Randle, Jason Rages and Bradford Randle. He is also survived by great grandchildren and other special relatives and friends.
