He is survived by: his wife Diane; his daughter Michelle Schafer (Jay) of Marion, IL; his grandchildren, Montana Schafer of Carterville, IL and Cole of Marion, IL; his stepchildren, Kraig Ritter (Kelly) and Kristin Dahlke (Bob); his stepgrandchildren, Hannah Bickes (Cory), Jairon Ritter (Madelyn Preusse), Charlie Ritter, Daniel Dahlke, Patrick Dahlke and Caroline Dahlke; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Micah and Lucy Bickes.

Memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church or Maroa-Forsyth Foundation.
