She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena B. Currie and Leonard Evans Sr. Leana. She is survived by: her children, Andrea Evans of Decatur, IL, Frances Benton-Crawford of Memphis, TN, Crystal Evans of Decatur, IL and William Brent Hood (Terrica); her goddaughter Angie Cason; her grandchildren, Quentaria (Brandon), Tronae, James, André, Jamari, Daja, Will Jr., Omari, Zemeka (Michael), Xarius, Ke'Arius (Booka), Nacia and Anthony; her great grandchildren, Brakyia, Brylei, Zanyia, Jamyia, Kash, Mir and Desmond; her siblings, Alberta (Harry), Bond of Decatur, IL, Leonard Evans Jr. of Decatur, IL, Juanette Murray of Belleville, IL and Patricia Jackson of Cahokia, IL; and her close friend Rose Cook. She is also survived by four children, in which one daughter and her only son.
