The memory of Lois Irene Murrell of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Halcomb and Valla Halcomb; her husband Richard Murrell; and her siblings, Eugene Halcomb, John Halcomb, Sherrill Halcomb and Barbara McKinzie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelley Wilcoxson (Jim) and Lesley Albert (Allen); her grandchildren, Valerie Dye (Todd), Joseph Wilcoxson (Adrienne), Hailey Albert (Joshua) and Heather Albert (Nathan); and her great grandchildren, Jordan Dye, Fiona Dye, Ava Wilcoxson, Oliver Wilcoxson, Beckam Prakel and Bowman Prakel.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sharon United Methodist Church (4363 W Center St, Decatur, IL 62522). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
