He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Tappendorf and Marie Tappendorf; his wife Theresa; and his children, Timothy Tappendorf and Jennifer Tucker.
He is survived by: his children, Benjamin Tappendorf, Roberta Shull, Rebecca Tappendorf, Dana Tappendorf, Katherine York, Dawn Maple and Stephani Cave (Mitch); his brothers, Ken Tappendorf (Mary) and Jim Tappendorf (Nancy); and his daughter-in-law Nancy Tappendorf. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
