We announce the death of Marsha Carol Cassidy in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 66. Marsha will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Smith and Doris Fraker Smith; her brother Phillip Smith; and her nephew Alex Geistwhite. She is survived by: her son Wyatt Cassidy; her siblings, Richard Smith and Patricia Venable; her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Cassidy Weaver, Delynn Geistwhite (Kim) and Mary Jo Bowers (Scot); her nieces and nephews, Jace, Dani Butler (Rodney), Ryan Geistwhite, Kyle Geistwhite, Sean Geistwhite (Amanda), Will Bowers and Nathan Bowers (Hannah); and her close friend Judy Kitchens.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marsha's honour to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
