We are sad to announce that, on May 26, 2025, at the age of 87, Martha Cavanaugh of Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Martha leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Daniel Burtschi and Margaret Eloise Burtschi (Thorpe); her husband James Ronald Cavanaugh; and her brother James Burtschi. She is survived by: her children, Mark Cavanaugh (Kelly) of Bloomington, IL, J. David Cavanaugh (Stacy) of Monroe, WI, Cathy Cavanaugh of Forsyth, IL and Judy Clark (Michael) of Gilbert, AZ. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
