He was predeceased by: his parents, John Matthew Longstreet and Ruth Catherine Longstreet (Capps); and his siblings, William Verne Longstreet and Ruth Colleen Deturk. He is survived by: his wife Toni; his sons, Scott Longstreet (Cheryl) and Michael Douglas Longstreet (Tricia); and his brother Joe Longstreet. He is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Congregational Church (3465 N MacArthur Rd, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
