It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy R Brown of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Street and Gladys Street (Hall); her former husband James D. Spain; her husband Jack T. Brown; her daughter Cindy Spain; and her siblings, Glenn, Duane, Darrell and John Street.
She is survived by: her daughters, Theresa Spain, Susan Kretsinger (Butch) and Patty Smith (Eric Jr.); her grandchildren, Tarah (Nick), Jim (Debbi), Cody, Clayton (Savannah), John (Morganne), Abby (Cole) and Amy (Wade); and her stepgrandsons, Troy (Shelley) and Eric (Lisa). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; eight (8) step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Nancy's honor may be made to the Poliomyelitis Research Foundation.
