He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Everett Lyons and Ardell Lyons; his daughter Alyssa; and his siblings, William Lyons (Audrey), David Lyons, Ron Lyons (Elaine), Sharon Lyons and Jeanette Plemmons. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Life Foursquare Church (2954 W Ash Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
