We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2025, at the age of 84, Richard L. Durand of Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Durand and Velma Durand Jinks (Krieger); his wife Eva Sue York; and his siblings, Pamn Larrimore and Tom Jinks.
He is survived by: his children, Dianna S. Parks (Stan) of Dalton City, IL and David L. Durand (Jennifer) of Decatur, IL; his sisters, Shirley Beckhart (Jim) of Mt. Zion, IL and Karen Nelsen of Bement, IL; his grandchildren, Taylor Earles (Christopher) of Cowden, IL, Morgan Reljic (Alex) of Williamsville, IL, Tyler Durand (Jessica) of Hardin, IL and Trevor Durand (Morgan) of Mt. Zion, IL; his great grandchildren, Hayden Earles, Boro Reljic, Elijah Durand and Theodore Durand; and his close friends, Don Goss and Dave Jackson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home (105 W Main St, Mt Zion, IL 62549).
Memorial donations may be directed to First Baptist Church, Mt. Zion.
