He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Corey and Geraldine V Corey (Gaddis); his wife Norma J. Dawley; and his sisters, Helene Childers and Georgianna Maldaner.
He is survived by: his children, Robert David Corey (Terri) of Maryville, TN and Karen J. Corey of Morris, IL; his grandchildren, Sara Punke, Selina Najdanovich, Rob Corey and Ryan Corey; and his great grandchildren, Will Punke, Landon Punke, Fiona Punke, Dean Najdanovich, Aiden Tamez, Adryana Corey and Ryland Corey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home - Decatur (2827 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in Robert's honor may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
