He is survived by: his son Adam Sims (Karen) of Shelbyville, IL; his close friend Virginia Hart of Decatur; his grandchildren, Brittany, Katlynn, Candace, Laci and Johnny; and his brothers, John Sims (Jim) and Richard Sims (Debbie). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorials in Roger's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
