He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Altherr and Edna Altherr (Laudeman); his wife Gwen Drollinger; and his son Michael. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Lowery (Mike), Steve Altherr (Kathy), Jane Blankenship (Ron) and Tim Altherr (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Seth (Shauna), Evan (Anina), Jordan (Abby), Erik (Lorena), Jared (Cindy), Kristin (Mike), Derek (Anne), Ross (Gabby), Ryan and Christopher. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2400 S Franklin Street Rd, Decatur, IL 62521). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
