She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Brush and Hattie Brush (Turnage); and her close friend Edward Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ellis, Debra Ewing (Randy), Gary Pettyjohn, Karen Majors (Charlie) and James Pettyjohn. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home (2801 N Monroe St, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at the Macon County Memorial Park (5700 W Main St, Decatur, IL 62537).
