With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sam Gholson of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Sam may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sam touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his son Dan (Kathy) of Greensboro, GA; his grandchildren, Lee (Angela) of Chicago, Benjamin (Christina) of Atlanta and Alexandra Buck (Jason) of Kansas City; and his great grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, Daniel and Andrew.
