We bid farewell to Shirley Poling of Decatur, Illinois, born in Lake Zurich, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 9, 2024 at the age of 86. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Dubson and Minne Dubson (Pauketat); her husband Jay D. Poling; her sister Jean Merriman; and her son-in-law Patrick Hayes.

She is survived by: her children, John Poling (Robert) of Bloomington and Stacy Hayes of Decatur; and her grandchildren, Ryan Hayes (Samantha), Colin Hayes of Decatur and Katie Hayes (Kyle) of Argenta. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.

The attire is casual, and the family asks for no flowers.
