He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thorpe of Decatur, IL; his children, Elizabeth Thorpe-Greenwald (Joe) of Kansas City, MO, Cristina Binnion (Joe) of Decatur, IL, Jennifer Smith (David) of O'Fallon, MO and Matthew Thorpe of Decatur, IL; his grandchildren, Emily Binnion and Justin Smith; and his sister Mona Thorpe of Ridgefield, CT..
A prayer will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel (4020 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62526). Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (2160 N Edward St, Decatur, IL 62526).
