She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Vest and Lorena Vest (McKinney); her husband Jack Dean Griffin; and her sister Donna Shoraga. She is survived by: her children, Joy Pittman (David) of Decatur and Gary Griffin (June) of Decatur; her grandchildren, Sarah Lucas (Jay), Seth Pittman, Stephen Pittman (Rebecca), Shawna Pittman, John Griffin and Dawn Griffin; her great grandchildren, Billy, Asher, Cayden, Wesley and Aubrey; and her brother-in-law Lyle Shoraga of Bloomington.
Memorials in Virginia's honor may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church.
