He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Bond Jr. and Unia Mae Springfield-Bond; and his siblings, Cleo Bond Walker, Roger Bond, Mary L. Bond Walker, Virginia Bond, Willie B. Bond, Roy Lee Bond and Inell Bond Chambers.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Bond; his children, Charles Mitchell of Decatur, Eric Green of Decatur, Jacquline Bond of Decatur, Janice Bond of Decatur and Walter L. Bond of Decatur; his siblings, Juanette Bond Anderson, Willette Bond Edwards of Southfield and Eldrige Gray; his cousin Brown Springfield; and his close friends, Levoy Reed and U. L. Sain. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
