Carter (Hall); his daughters, Vickie and Linda; his grandson Adam Carter; his great grandchild Owen Thompson; and his siblings, James Carter, Ralph Carter, Marion Carter, Kenneth Carter, Florence Carter (Stickle), Mary Carter (Krutsinger), Ruth Carter (Burris), Blanche Carter (Rosenthal), Sarah Carter (Brohez), Rosemary Carter (Wright) and Nancy Carter (Stewart).

He is survived by: his children, Loni Furry (John) of Forsyth, IL, Curt Carter (Kathy) of Mt. Zion, IL and Tim Carter (Shannon) of Decatur; and his grandchildren, Ryan Lindsey of Cape Coral, FL, Jeremy Witts (Jennifer) of Nixa, Courtney Lindsey of Decatur, Andy Carter (Megan) of Carbondale, IL, Andrea Higgins (Sean) of Monticello, IL, Amber Thompson (Trent) of Sullivan, IL and Maegan Carter (Brad) of Decatur. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren.
