It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William C. Peter Jr. of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Pete" Peter Sr. and Ruby Peter (Clark); and his sister Sharon Ferre. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Horsman; his daughter Stephanie Napier; his grandson Andrew Napier (Lexi Knight); his aunt Ardith Capshaw; his sister-in-law Jo Ann Trusner; his extended family, Joshua and Heather Urbanowitz; Hunter and Bryan. He is also survived by two nephews; three nieces.
Memorials in Bill's honor may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or Buchanan Cemetery.
