He was predeceased by: his parents, Beno (Albertha Green) and Willie; his stepfather James Taylor; and his brothers, Lynn Perkins, Charles Perkins and Beno Green Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Rosie "Doll" Green; his children, Tia Peete (LaVell), Cynthia Williams of Decatur, Precious Green of Champaign, Shada Weatherall-Green of Champaign, Shanita of Champaign, Kareen of Champaign, Shalunda Weatherall of Champaign, Falica Menefee of Champaign, John of Champaign, Johnnie of Champaign, Richard of Champaign and DeAndra Weatherall of Champaign; and his sisters, Margaret Jones (Gary) of Decatur, Vickey Taylor (Roy) of Sterrett, AL and Juanita Span of Davenport, Iowa.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
