He was predeceased by: his daughter Cheryl Kruse. He is survived by: his parents, Frederick Kruse and Gail Kruse Sr. (Gardner); his daughters, Valerie Tomita (Mike), Cara Kruse and Meghan Ehlert (Daniel); his grandchildren, Magdalene, Jacob and Marilyn; his siblings, Deb McDowell (Scott), Charles Kruse (Laura) and Monsignor James Kruse; Bronco.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to T.A.P.S. No-kill animal shelter in Pekin.
