She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Short and Dorothy Short (Wilson); her husband John Compton; her sister Martha Stone; and her siblings-in-law, Mike Taylor and Kathy Short.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven Compton of Deer Creek, Robert Compton (Anka) of Joliet and Dan Compton (Nola) of Savoy; her granddaughters, Grace, Catherine and Lily Compton; and her siblings, Jim Short, Sam Short, Helen Taylor and Margie Ho (Eric).
