He is survived by: his sons, Peter Thommes (Kathleen) and Mark Thommes (Jeanette); his grandchildren, Mark, Steven, Maggie Oberlin (Charlie), Shannon and Gwen; and his siblings, Thomas Thommes (Reta Kerrick), James Thommes (Nancy), Joan Kraus (Robert), Diane Becker (John), Kathleen Schneider (John), Carolyn Crowley (Patrick) and Marguerite Higgins (John). He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
