He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Riippi and Lempi Riippi (Hendrickson); his wife Norma Jean Riippi; his siblings, Reuben, Edwin (Skinny), Reino, Irene Schwarze and Eileen Martin; and his stepmother Tynne Riippi.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn, Lisa Rosel Littleton and Steven (Mary); his grandchildren, Courtney Riippi of Russell, IA, Kelly (Zachary Sronce), Ryan, Jessica and Charlie (Katelynn); and his great grandchildren, Kylar and Breelynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
