He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorne Johnson and Genevieve Johnson (Croxin); and his sister Diane Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Gregg Johnson (Jenny) of Lake Geneva and Jayme Miller (Brian) of Tinley Park, Illinois; his grandchildren, Russell, Kalvin, Andrew, Lauren, Noah (Courtney), Jessie, Lana and Lea; and his brother James Johnson.
