He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Shular and Opal Shular; his wife Jimmie Shular; his grandson Sean Moriarity; and his siblings, Franklin and Eva Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Woodham (late Bill), Deborah Moriarity and Robert Cates Sr.; and his grandchildren, Shanna Reiling (Kenneth), James Moriarity (Sana), Tonya Woodham, Todd Woodham, Robert Cates Jr., Lori Quinton (Gary), Brennan, Jarett and Cohen Moriarity.
