It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Hanssen of DeKalb, Illinois, born in Harwood Heights, Illinois, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother Marian Hanssen (Marquardt). He is survived by : his father Earl Hanssen of Rockford; his wife Lynn Devers; his children, Don Devers of DeKalb and Susie Grainger (Brian) of Sycamore; his grandchildren, Hailey, Karley, Kyra, Briden, Kloe and Braysen; his great grandchildren, Bentley, Harper, Ashtyn and Faith; and his siblings, Ellen Addy of Wonderlake, Gary Hanssen of Crystal Lake, Julie Gehringer (Matt) of Marengo, Jeanne Arndt of Marengo and John Hanssen (Jennifer) of Marengo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
