She was predeceased by: her parents, Loraine Utley Melton and Bertha Luella Melton (Greenhow); her husband Robert Peterson; her siblings, Louise Helen Melton, Ruth Crocker, Lois Crook and Raymond Louis Melton; her sister-in-law Judith Moore Melton; and her cousin Betty Greenhow Luepkes.
She is survived by: her brother Earl Melton; her nephews, Stephen, James and William; her brothers, Russell Melton (Patricia Louis) and Alan (Cynthia); her brother-in-law Joe Crocker of Rogersville, TN; her nieces, Julie and Nancy; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Karen, Tracey, Kathy, Jeff and Charles; her cousin Larry Wilson of Sycamore, IL; her sister-in-law Inez Chapman Melton; and her nieces and nephews, Tonda and Bret.
