He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Covatta Sr. and Alice Johnson; his wife Helaine Covatta; and his daughter Beverly Covatta. He is survived by: his children, Peter Covatta, Barbara Stevens and Susan Covatta; his granddaughter Amber (Ben); his sister Eleanor E. Covatta Diaz (Oscar Diaz); and his sibling's children, Christopher, Alexander (Deepti), Timothy, Peter and Lisa (Craig Mattio). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
