We announce the death of Gloria Durr of DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 100. Gloria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Marko and Eva Marko (Jacobson); her husband John O. Durr; her brother Joe E. Bross; and her daughter-in-law Mary.
She is survived by: her sons, John Durr (Betty) of Grand Rapids, MI and James Durr (Mary) of Sparta, MI; her grandchildren, Aric (Polly), Jason (Nikki), Melissa (Chris), Carrie (Ryan), Steve (Jenny) and Nick; her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Noah, Tyler, Emily, Jaxon, Jaret, Abbey, Maggie, Leona, Thomas and Marie; her great great grandchild Evelyn; her brother David Marko (Kim); and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Bross.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gloria's memory may be made to Emmanuel Hospice or to Porter Hills Village.
