It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Friedlund of DeKalb, Illinois, born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Swanson and Elsie Swanson; her husband Richard Friedlund (Rich); her sons, Scott (Marina), Greg (Ingrid) and Mike (Anita); her brothers, Richard Swanson (Kaye) of Tulsa and John "Kres" Swanson (Dawn) of Streator; her siblings-in-law, Jerry and Mary Hartmann; her grandchildren, Katie (Phil), Ali (Charlie), Claire (Tommy), Geneva (Matt), Ethan, Sarah (Andrew), Anna, Emma, Colin and Morgan; her great grandchildren, Grace, Grant, Griffin, Aurora, Adam, Joey, Camden, Sienna, Margaux and Liam; and her siblings-in-law, Harry Friedlund Jr. and Bev Friedlund. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and countless cherished relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date.
