Jarie Granton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jarie Granton of DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Josef Vavra and Marie Vavra (Zmek); her siblings, Marie Skopal and Vladimir Vavra; her husband Marvin Granton; and her son Frederick H. Granton.
She is survived by : her daughters, Elizabeth Granton and Catherine Granton (Bobbie Lewis); her grandchildren, Emily Kvasnicka, Stephanie Granton, Joseph Kvasnicka (Sabrina), Michelle Granton, Jacob Kvasnicka and Mila Kvasnicka; and her great grandchild Scarlett Kvasnicka. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emily's List, Northern Illinois Hospice or NAMI: The National Alliance on Mental Illness in Jarie's honor.
