It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Arthur Whitney (DeKalb, Illinois), who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Whitney and Helen Whitney (Nyman); and his sister Katherine Diane Saldenais. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Burks (Allen) of Gardendale; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Melton (Zachary) of Front Royal, Virginia and Paige; his great grandchildren, Lennix and Adley Melton; and his close friends, Steve and DeDe (Bonnie).
