He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Grush and Henrietta Grush; and his siblings, Ray Grush, Rose Bivens and Peggy Hoekstra.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughter Elizabeth Guess (Chris); his grandchildren, Alexis and Ethan; his son Aleks Kosoric (Erica); his granddaughter Ana; and his siblings, Barb Lind, Fred Grush (Janet), Helen Iadevito (Nick), Mike Grush (Nancy), Janet Ingram (Larry) and Ken Grush (Lee Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Joseph and Karen Grush Endowed Scholarship in Psychology and Nursing at the NIU Foundation or to the Karen and Joseph Grush Charitable Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation.
