She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Backhaus and Anna Backhaus (Hunerberg); her husband Hiram "Jim" Luepkes; her son Daniel; and her sisters, Mabel Perrin, Marie Fettes, Betty Diedrick and Evelyn Callahan.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Josh Luepkes (Kelly Harrolle) of Kingston and Jenni Luepkes (Ryan Joseph) of DeKalb; her great grandchildren, A'lon, Andre, Lexi, Malik, Malcolm, Payton and Kaylee; and her daughter-in-law Kim Littlejohn (Thom) of Kirkland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
