Lisa Cole Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lisa Cole of DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Robert, Helen Schultz, Olof and Gerda Elk. She is survived by: her parents, Jack Elk (Susan Elk) and Helen Elk (Skutta); her daughters, Kierstin and Erika; her husband John S. Cole II; her sister Laura Elk-Weist; and her nephew Everett Elk-Weist. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Lisa's family asks that donations be made in her honor to For the Love of a Slaughter Horse, a charity close to her heart that has rescued, rehabbed, and rehomed over 300 horses originally bound for slaughter.
