He was predeceased by: his parents, Nello Fontana and Rosa Fontana; his brother Michael; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Stefani and Jackie Stefani.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Fontana of DeKalb; his children, Jenni Fontana (Jonathan Martin) of Los Angeles, T. J. (Amy) of DeKalb and Steve (Kristin) of Batavia; his grandchildren, T. J., Will, Isabella and Lorenzo Fontana; his siblings, Josette Pieroni and Renzo Fontana (Franca); and his siblings-in-law, Marcella Fontana and John Stefani (Susan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
