She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne "Tommy" Tompkins and Mary Jane Tompkins (Leifheit); and her siblings, Patricia Thurlby and Kurt Wayne Tompkins. She is survived by: her children, Gregg Johnson (Jenny) of Lake Geneva, WI and Jayme Miller (Brian) of Tinley Park, IL; her grandchildren, Russel, Kalvin, Andrew, Lauren, Noah, Jessie, Lana and Lea; and her sisters, Amy Overby (Butch) and Jody Guihan (Frank). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Children Lure's Hospital in Ona's name, that would have meant so much to her.
