It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rex Nelson in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Nelson and Gladys Nelson (Wallin); and his siblings, Kenny, Ole Nelson (Floyd, Jr) and Donna Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Gustafson; his children, Brad Nelson (Malorie) of Kingston, Cynthia Swangren (Kris) of Rockford and Randy Nelson (Teri) of Genoa; his sister Phyllis Takayama of Michigan; and his siblings-in-law, Curt Gustafson of Belvidere and Barb Gustafson of Genoa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established in Rex's honor through Butala Funeral Homes in Genoa.
