Richard L. Retrum Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard L. Retrum of DeKalb, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Richard's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Richard's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Retrum and Myrtle Retrum (Piper); and his sister Linda Strand (Retrum). He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Diane Hart (Rob) and Michael Retrum (Judy); and his grandson Andrew Hart. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (324 N 3rd St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
