He is survived by: his children, Sharon Lyon (Jim) of Sycamore and David (Helen) of Waldorf, Maryland.; his grandchildren, April O'Connell (Daniel), Brandon Lyon, Heather O'Brien and Kyle O'Brien; and his great grandchildren, Thomas O'Connell, Benjamin O'Connell, Aiden Hinson, Mikayla Rowell and Lincoln Gilboy.
