Roger Montavon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roger Montavon of DeKalb, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Montavon and Dorothy Montavon (Thorson); and his siblings, Larry Montavon, Donna Zurbrick and Joyce Scheiderer.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ellen; his children, Brian Montavon of Cortland, Matthew (Kiralyn) of Cortland, Andrew (Olivia), Kevin Montavon of Batavia, Avery (Sam) of Chicago, Illinois, Natasha of Batavia and Tatiana of Chicago, Illinois; his great grandchild Arianna; his siblings, Donald Montavon of Florida, Kenneth Montavon (Shirley) of DeKalb, Illinois, Ruth Ann Anderson of Sycamore and Laura Anderson (Rick) of Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Zurbrick, Mike Scheiderer and Dorothy Montavon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2011 S 4th St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Mary Cemetery (531 Sycamore Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115).
