With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ronald J. Modell of DeKalb, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan (Gertrude Modell) and Gertie; his daughter Lisa Robin Modell; and his brothers, Sandy and Lance Modell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Modell; his children, Josh, Christopher, Scott Modell and Jennifer Modell; his stepson Brian Severson; and his daughters-in-law, Christina Severson and Erin Hazard. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Home (310 Oak St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational United Church (615 N 1st St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Fairview Park Cemetery (1600 S 1st St #8678, DeKalb, IL 60115).
