In loving memory of Virginia I. Cook of DeKalb, Illinois, who departed this world on September 7, 2025 at the age of 102. Virginia leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Rompf and Estella Rompf (Augeson); her husband Wayne; her brothers, Lowell and Harold (Donna); and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Selby (Victor) and Doris Follett (Roy).

She is survived by: her close friend Wayne L Cook (Navy); her daughters, Janelle Reints (John) of DeKalb and Jennifer Amos (David) of St. Louis Park, MN.; her grandchildren, John Wayne Reints (McKenzie), Jennifer Teusink (Matthew), Jaime Reints and Callee Amos; her great grandchildren, Aidan, Lennox, Emerson, Justin, Jacob and Teddy; and her aunt Ginnie.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kishwaukee Country Club (1901 Sycamore Rd, DeKalb, IL 60115).

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Virginia R Cook Memorial Fund.
