He was predeceased by : his parents, Jake H. Poppenga and Betty I. Poppenga (Dukes). He is survived by : his spouse Charsa Kauble; his daughter Tabatha Lynn; his grandson Arren Perdue of Delavan; his daughters, Victoria Lynn, Lisa Marie and Angelique; and his brother Brad. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to: Delavan High School Drama Club, 907 Locust Street, Delavan, IL 61734 as he was immensely proud of his grandson's performances in several productions.
