It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Schmidgall of Delavan, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cheryl Schmidgall to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominic Perfetti and Edith Perfetti; her brother Jim; and her sister-in-law Gloria Perfetti. She is survived by: her husband David Schmidgall; her children, Jeff Schmidgall (Libby) and Stacie Pleasants; and her grandchildren, Gabriel, Michael Pleasants, Ryan and Emily Schmidgall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to TAPS No-kill Animal Shelter and St. Jude, a cause Cheryl held close to her heart.
