She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard Clayton and Hazel Helena Smalley (Tompkins); her husband Mervin Jacob Birky; and her brother Richard Dean Smalley (Donna). She is survived by : her daughters, Joy Lehnert of Pekin and Sandra Boston (Robert) of Tremont; her grandchildren, Sarah Flint (Joe), Kathryn Capel, Daniel Lehnert (Lindsey), Elizabeth Lehnert, Joseph Lehnert (Daci), David Lehnert (Mindi), Jameson Boston (Hannah), Rachel Haupt (Jason) and Russell Boston (Molly); and her great grandchildren, Josiah, Caleb Flint, Grant, Miles, Leo Capel, Wren, Jacob, Elijah, Sadie Lehnert, Lydia Lehnert-Pivoney, Anna, Reuben, Leah Lehnert, Emmy Lehnert, Tess, Roy Boston and Teddy Haupt.

Memorial contributions may be given to Peoria Rescue Ministries or to Samaritan's Purse for the funding of Operation Christmas Child, which was dear to her heart.
